Ant Ausventure

Ant Ausventure is a simple vertical slice of an adventure game created for the 2022 Epic Mega Jam.
With the theme being As Above So Below, Ant Ausventure is a relaxing 3D quasi side scrolling adventure / exploration game that lets you explore both above and below the ground.
This game is targeted for high end graphics hardware, specifically GPUs with Shader Model 6 support as it takes advantage of the latest Unreal Engine 5 features (this was built off the UE5-Main Github branch) such as Nanite (including moving foliage!) , Virtual Shadow Maps and Hardware Accelerated Lumen.
If playing on a 4k monitor I recommend setting the resolution scale to ~50% as TSR does a very good job of upscaling.
Controls are WASD to move, Space to jump, Alt+Enter to toggle full screen and M to bring up the in game settings.
Water flow sims done in Houdini.

I found out about your game through the Epic MegaJam sizzle, and wow — it’s a stunning showcase of what’s possible with UE5. I didn’t expect the voice acting at all — it was hilarious! I did struggle a bit with the controls and couldn’t even make the first jump. Maybe I’ll give it another go someday (hopefully with a more powerful GPU!). Great job overall!
